MY STORY In 2011 I quit my job and hit the road. I climbed my way across the vast and wild space of the American West, enchanted not only by the beauty of the land but also by the passion and stories of the people I met along the way. Life on the road: simple, dirty, messy, wonderful. Passion and life became one, and I became inspired. I picked up a camera and began to document what I saw. I haven't stopped since. In my images and stories I search for moments that capture the magic of the climbing world and a life lived outdoors. To me "authentic" isn't some overused marketing buzzword. It is a way of life. Pre-dawn starts fueled by coffee and stoke, frigid breaths illuminated by headlamp, sunsets bursting with colors indescribable, knuckles bloodied by sharp cracks, eyes squinted and jacket pulled tight against spindrift waves, arms held triumphant and high on top of remote peaks, a sleepless stare peeking from a frosted sleeping bag, legs weary and face sore from long days of moving and laughing in the mountains. These are the moments I seek. No bullshit, raw, rugged, imperfect, inspiring. I love to live them. I live to share them. I've evolved much as a storyteller and climber since I first hit the road. I've planned and executed photoshoots on remote Patagonian summits, helped produce award-winning films and been recognized as one of the best editors in adventure film, and delivered specific content to major clients in the outdoor industry. Along the way I've established long first ascents in the mountains and been on expeditions to some of the wildest, most exposed places on the planet. My comfort both on the sharp end and behind the lens allows me to document unique stories in places that most people, and even most other photographers, cannot reach. I truly love my work. If you do too, I'd love to work with you. - Austin Contact: +1.206.683.1672 | email@example.com | @austin_siadak Clients: Commercial -- Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear, Duct Tape Then Beer, National Geographic Adventure, BigUp Productions, Sender Films, Cedar Wright, American Alpine Club, Bluewater Ropes, Maxim Ropes, Banff International Mountain Film and Book Festival, 5Point Film Festival, Skratch Labs, Skyward Mountaineering, Alpine Mentors.
